The arm restraints that come on our two post lifts are for the purpose of holding the arm in place until it makes contact with the vehicle. They are not to be relied upon to hold a miss positioned vehicle in place.
Panther Lifts, and its distributors, will be held harmless for accidents that occur on lifts where the vehicle was not properly positioned, or the proper adapters or arms were not used.
If in doubt, be sure to obtain the Lifting It Right manual from the Automotive Lift Institute. This is an excellent source of information and is sold at a very reasonable price to non-members. Safety is everyones job. Lets do our job together.
Be sure to take into account the load or added equipment on the vehicle. Extra care must be taken on asymmetric lifts when lifting long wheelbase vehicles. Please refer to the Lifting It Right guide published by the A.L.I. This guide may be ordered off their web site: www.autolift.org .
